The Bandit Golf Course was developed in 1997 around Long Creek off FM 725 in an unincorporated area of Guadalupe County between New Braunfels and Seguin with 148 homes sites platted in the first phase. The developer is Golf Associates Ltd. (GAL) and the project manager was Dan Pedrotti Jr. who later purchased the golf course through his company Foresight Golf.

The home sites were planned for Golf Villas, minimum 1,300sf., Garden Homes, minimum 1,500sf., Custom and Executive Homes, minimum 1,800 sf. and now Condominiums. Several Builders have built custom homes and to this day, just over 100 homes exist in the community with an additional 30 lots sold but not yet developed. Lake McQueeney Realty is owned by Allan Derham, a licensed Real Estate Broker who has lived at The Bandit since 2003. Allan is also the Property Manager and a member of the Board of Directors. The office is located at 899 Long Creek Boulevard adjacent to the golf course maintenance building.
